Killing Floor 2 Tweaker 2.4 released!

KF2

Quite significant update this time around. Made a huge overhaul of new Rendering Distance tweak, offering several easy to use presets and added an unofficial fix for a crash due to faulty auto set Unreal Engine parameters.

2.4 (2018-11-26)

  • Renamed “Extreme Draw Distance” to “Rendering Distance” and moved it from “Graphics Settings” to main KF2 Tweaker selection menu.
  • “Rendering Distance” tweak section now offers 5 rendering distance presets ranging from Ultra Low for people who need every drop of performance to Ultra for people who run top of the line computers and want maximum visual quality with zero objects popping into view, anywhere.
  • Added “Compatibility Patches” feature which currently fixes game sometimes crashing to Windows desktop with BugSplat dialog when trying to join server/map due to faulty auto set Unreal Engine Garbage Collection parameters on some systems (mine included).

Killing Floor 2 Tweaker 2.3.5 released!

KF2

2.3.5 (2018-11-23)

  • Added “Extreme Draw Distance” tweak

This feature dramatically enhances draw (rendering) distance of decals and other minor objects in the game world beyond Ultra settings. Most notable is on Zed Landing and Black Forest where grass on the ground, bushes and other “greens” are not popping into existence at certain rather short distances, but are rendered as far away as eyes can see.

Killing Floor 2 Tweaker 2.3 released!

KF2

2.3 (2018-11-09)

  • Added “Protect Key Bindings” feature to prevent unwanted random Key Bindings resets (sets KFInput.ini as read-only). Please report if controls still reset even when protection is enabled (changing Enhanced Dosh Throwing resets the protection!).
  • Added “Long Distance Detailed Shadows” under Graphics Settings. Makes shadows far away more detailed without the higher performance hit of the “Ultra High Quality Shadows” mode.
  • Few text changes

Killing Floor 2 officially released on PC & PS4!

KF2

That day has finally arrived! Killing Floor 2 was released minutes ago on PC and PS4 platforms. I’ve been playing it on PC since its inception through Early Access on Steam and it has been an exciting experience since day one. You can read more about my impressions back then here. And I can assure you, despite quite a lot of changes that happened since then, they are majorly for the better. The game looks amazing, can run well even on more basic systems and most of all, it’s so exciting and fun, servers are well populated through entire day and things will get even better now that it’s officially released. During release time, there is also a 25% launch discount, so grab it while it’s still hot 😀

I’ve also created a tweak tool called Killing Floor 2 Tweaker for this game that allows you to fiddle with few otherwise hidden settings and parameters like adjusting amount of permanent gore (how much corpses and gibs are hanging around as you lay death upon Zeds), adjust sound settings, texture streaming, mouse behavior like mouse acceleration and scaling etc.

What are you still waiting? Grab the game and see you on the battlefield! Lets show those Zeds what’s what!

Here we go again, blaming games for Munich shooting

BBC news on Munich shooter (archive for obvious reasons):
https://archive.is/JoRC6

Let me just first throw the “we need more gun control” bullshit under a bus…

David Ali Sonboly, 18, who had a Glock pistol and more than 300 bullets, killed himself after the attack. Bavarian officials said the gunman, still not officially named, appeared to have bought the illegal pistol used in the attack on the so called “dark net”.

Germany already has one of strictest gun control laws. And what they want to do first after such shootings happen? WE NEED MOAR GUN CONTROL! No you fucking retards, you can’t take even more guns from citizens, they already can’t protect themselves. If more people had a gun, they could stop this asshole the moment he opened fire. But waiting for cops turned this whole thing into a lengthy chase with a trail of dead people.

And then we come to this fucking gem involving games…

Sonboly was said to be a keen player of “first-person shooter” video games.

Yes, and Hitler also drank water. Not only this remark that this shitface was a gamer is entirely out of place, it also has no basis, not logical and not scientific. And it’s making me as a gamer look bad. And I haven’t done anything bad and neither has my hobby. Yes, I’ve killed thousands of people. In games. My death toll in reality after 20 years of gaming is still fucking ZERO. And I predominantly play hyper violent first person shooters like Killing Floor 2 and Soldier of Fortune where you can realistically dissect organisms, fictional or humanoid into tiny particles. Apparently I’m a greater risk to society because I play games than highly questionable “refugees” flooding our continent of Europe. Fuck off BBC.

If games are the cause for all this violence, then what was the cause before the early 1990’s when first “first person shooters” even appeared (Wolfenstein 3D which is the grand daddy of all first person shooters)? Do I hear incoherent stuttering in your voice now?

Look at this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rampage_killers

A lot of years with most deaths well before first person shooters even existed. Checkmate motherfuckers, the games are NOT the cause. Stop fucking blaming them already. But games are the most convenient scapegoat everyone can beat to death, year after year whenever any shootings happen. Just fucking stop it!

There is no scientific evidence to support such claims, there is no historic evidence as presented above to support such claims, they are damaging for the gaming industry and they are damaging for people involved in this hobby. This bullshit blaming games after every god damn shooting needs to stop.

Gamers are the last thing to worry about. Pay more attention to all the fucking jihadists flooding Europe. All these arabs with their god damn islam are the root of all this shit. There was none of this crap before you “white guilt” retard assholes invited them all here. That is again a fact. Statistical and historic. Focus more on that and less on games and gamers.

Games are not “ableist” at all!

I’m absolutely sick of this clickbait nonsense by games “journalism”. What is games journalism even around for, if their sole purpose is shitting on their own industry and their own readers? Has anyone ever seen car industry journalism pissing all over all cars, its users and manufacturers? Ever seen sports media pissing over all sports to generate clicks? But here, to no one’s surprise, Kotaku and many other stupid outlets are doing just that. Again.

PokemonGo_Is_Ableist_by_Kotaku.JPG

Their latest jab at the games is of course, calling Pokemon Go “ableist”. Pokemon Go, the phenomenon that mobilized millions of Pokemon fans and gamers to actually go outside. You know, something everyone has been screaming and bitching about for decades how “gamers only dwell in their basements, playing games”.

Ableism

“Ableism” is another buzzword created by progressive regressive left to shame people who don’t happen to have any life changing disabilities. Instead of elevating and helping people with disabilities, lets take a piss at healthy people, like it’s their fault they are healthy and able to navigate through the world without limitations.

Games make disabilities irrelevant

I’ve been saying this for years and I’ll say it again. Games are one of rare few things in this world that don’t care what your gender is, what your sexual preferences are, what skin color you have or what disabilities you happen to have. Naturally, there are always limitations when it comes to interaction with the medium, but computer games are way more forgiving than most of other activities. I know of one disabled boy who could only move his head and ingenious people found a way to somehow make The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim game playable for him. Now tell me if that isn’t cool or what?

But idiots at Kotaku prefer to put down that one single game that doesn’t specifically cater to disabled people and dismiss and ignore 99% of all other games that bring joy and virtual mobility to millions of people with physical (and mental) disabilities.

You don’t have legs but you’d love to play football, run and climb? You can play FIFA or PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) or run and jump around with insane parkour moves in Mirror’s Edge or Tomb Raider. You have severely limited ability to move your arms in shoulder and elbow joints, but you want to be a basketball superstar? If you can at least move fingers and wrist, you can play many basketball games. Are you not allowed to drive a car because of severe eyesight problems? You can play any of the many Need for Speed games risk free or even go more serious with racing simulations like Gran Turismo and Forza motorsport on consoles or different “indie” racing simulators on PC. Do you have social anxieties like fear of crowds or open spaces or you just feel uncomfortable around people? Many of people with such conditions can play games online with other real people because the game is their comfort zone barrier, keeping them “safe”.

Hell, even if you don’t have any specific desires or preferences, games bring disabled people the unimaginable experiences and mobility otherwise not possible in real world. If some part of them is still functional, there is a chance someone will figure out how to make a game functional for them. And once we will manage to control games with our mind directly, we’ll remove even that last barrier. I know it’ll never actually be the same, but thanks to technology, this is the closest thing we can get. And if it’s so engaging to us able people, imagine how life changing it is for people with disabilities.

Pokemon Go is not as discriminating as Kotaku says it is

And to show games and gamers know no barriers or disabilities, here is a tweet I’ve seen today…

PokemonGo_Humanity.png

I don’t play Pokemon Go and I don’t know exactly how it works, but seeing this kinda made me shed a tear. Players remembered not everyone can run around and “catch ’em all” and dropped this message and made it possible for kids in hospitals to enjoy the Pokemon Go frenzy. It’s just so beautiful!  :3 Where there is a will, there is a way!

Why is Kotaku bitching and complaining about this instead of rather posting such positive message to large audience they have and make the change themselves? Of course, outrage brings more clicks than a normal article asking players to join forces, helping children in hospitals. Games journalism, never change. Never change… You’ll just disappear into nothingness. But gamers will still be around. Go gamers! Catch ’em all! 🙂

Doom, the initial impressions

I’m not going to write a full review just yet so I thought, why not drop a brief post about initial impressions with the new game. Full review will most likely follow when I finish it…

It’s funny how I find people on forums who complain how new Doom is nothing like the original Doom from the 90’s, where in reality, it’s in fact the closest thing. Doom 3 was a bit of an odd one. It had really dark and gritty graphics with scary atmosphere and individual monsters attacking you. I can’t remember a time you were really surrounded by monsters like you quite often was in original Doom. It was always scary moments and 1-3 monsters in Doom 3.

But in new Doom, it feels like someone took the original and remade it into “HD” with new graphics adding it actual 3rd dimension and also new aspect to the gameplay by adding upgrades and the way how ammo and health is delivered to you. Original allowed you to gun down monsters from distance. In fact that was a preferred way of dealing damage. From far away because health was precious. Here, you have to balance out ranged and close combat in order to inflict damage, but also gather dropped health. And trust me, if you play on Nightmare like I do, you’ll gonna be doing that a lot. 2 blows from Imp and you’ll be dead. Armor feels like it’s not even there. It’s very unforgiving, but for some really weird reason, I absolutely love it regardless. It’s how it should be. Hellishly unforgiving.

Weapon, suit and additional upgrades give new dimension to gameplay. It allows you to adjust your gameplay more with different weapons mods. I know some will whine about it how it doesn’t belong into Doom game, but reality is, upgrades aren’t like those in System Shock or Dead Space. They are far less complex and more straight forward. They remind me more of Alien Rage – Unlimited than Dead Space. And they even did the same trick as devs of Alien Rage, they give you ability to upgrade the basic pistol, making it more relevant through entire game, opposed to other games where you stop using basic pistol the moment you pick up something stronger.

The game just feels really good as a whole. Even spawning of monsters, in Doom 3 they almost always spawned behind your back to scare you, here, most are already roaming the maps, just few spawn in, usually when you destroy their pods. I like this more than lazy spawn ins for everything.

We’ve seen many franchise reboots in the recent years and Doom is by far the closest thing to how franchise reboots should be done. I really can’t think of a single serious issue or complaint about this game. Looks great, sounds great, levels are interesting, combat is really engaging and demands you to move a lot while also forces you to explore maps to gather upgrades and hidden stuff so you can mow down monsters easier, nicely rounding up the whole experience.

I have yet to try multiplayer and the map editor, which is supposedly an easier version where you snap elements together like Lego, but I have yet to try it and see what kind of maps you can create. I hope you can make single player maps and not just multiplayer maps. I want to create outrageously hellish mini campaign, but can’t be bothered with ridiculously complicated map editors that usually come with the games. 😀

All in all, it’s a really good game and I think this will be one of better if not best games this year. Highly recommended!

Need for Speed community is shit

Well, to be more specific, it’s shit in official NeedForSpeed subreddit. For the first time in history, EA (Ghost) is actually updating and adding content to the latest NFS 2016 game AFTER its release. And I though, awesome, finally devs might listen to recommendations and ideas. Just to be slammed in the face by the most moronic attitude I’ve ever seen in any game community.

The game originally shipped with just 5 garage spots. You could buy 5 cars and that was it. People complained about lack of garage space and they added 5 more via virtual warehouse slots from where you can exchange 5 more cars, totaling 10. Guess what, in a game which offers over 30 cars, you’ll probably want to buy all of them. So I’ve opened a thread there asking for 100 garage slots (it was just a figure of speech for enough slots to buy all available cars) and while vast majority of people agreed, there were retarded special snowflakes who got this bizarre idea in their heads that being able to buy all available cars will somehow ruin the emotional connection with cars and the depth of the game.

Bitch, please, the game has no emotional connection when you can’t even fiddle with the car the way you want it. Half of the cars can only be modified via car paint and rims. The remaining half has like 2 items max for SOME areas of the car. There is not a single car I own currently that can have ALL parts modified. There just isn’t any. So, how can I ever get attached to a creation that’s never the way I want it?

And then those same retards brought up idea that having just few cars opposed to all of them is somehow beneficial to everyone. Motherfucker, if you limit the number of cars, it’s only catering to your fucking taste. The rest of us who want to buy more cars are basically fucked. But if there is enough slots to buy ALL cars, you can still own just 2 if you fucking want. But no, apparently he has to be limited by a game, otherwise that fucktard is incapable of owning just 2 or 3 cars. Like whaaaaat!? And he keeps on going like a fucking broken record, calling in mods and everything because I apparently offended his feefees when I disagreed with him.

And then he digged out a message posted by NFS dev who said it’s “too much work” to raise a fucking already implemented limit. Holy fucking shit, if changing a limit variable from 5 to 50 or 100 is too much work for a professional coder, then what the fuck are you doing at your job? I could teach a baboon to code in C++ and make him reverse engineer whole game faster than these idiots would consider adding something as simple and beneficial to all players as raising a fucking garage slots limit. Fucking hell, no wonder no one fucking likes EA, they still have no fucking clue how to make gamers happy.

Bottom line, this is the first time I’ve witnessed in my entire life where community wants stagnation instead of progress. And I’m not even talking game changing progress that might be disliked by some people if it affects gameplay too much. This change would not affect gameplay at all and yet there are idiots against it like it’s threatening their very existence. Fuck me. I was already getting bored by NFS 2016, getting all cars was my last go-to achievement goal, but since it’s official now regarding garage slots (meaning there won’t be any), fuck this game and fuck the stupid community. It has a dead multiplayer anyway and it hasn’t been out yet for 2 months on PC, so that alone speaks volumes…

Ms. Male Link

ms_male_link

Oh my fucking god, you people are the most inconsistent bunch of whining motherfuckers I’ve seen in my whole fucking life.

They first demand women to be main protagonists, company pleases their sorry whining asses and introduces a female protagonist in the desired game. Seconds later, same fuckers are whining how the newly created character is just a “Ms. Male” character and not really a new female character.

Of course it’s a Ms. Male character you dumb retards, you demand a gender swap in an existing universe. Which means you’ll just get a female version of a male character every single freaking time. Fucking morons.

That’s why we are constantly bitching at feminists to create new unique universes with unique characters if they are so god damn smart at demanding shit. But they are without any kind of inspiration, imagination and ideas so they are incapable of making one. All they know is whine and force gender “reassignments” of existing characters which will always lead to Ms. Male trope bullshit. For fucks sake.

Also an interesting fact, I never owned a Nintendo console. PlayStation 2 yes, but nothing from Nintendo. Played Mario 64 using emulator on PC and Banjo Kazooie on N64 at friends place, but that was it. Long story short, I’ve always thought Link was in fact a girl. It was this petite figure with short hair that kinda looked feminine. And name “Link” doesn’t necessarily mean a male character. So, I really don’t get it why feminists are whining about it. But they always have to whine about something, right?
