I’ve heard a song in some Samsung QLED TV demo that caught my attention with the vocals. Tried figuring it out with SoundHound few times but always failed because of other sound effects included in the demo. But at some point it managed to recognize it. I was thrilled. The song is performed by Antoinette Halliday & Louise Dowd, called “My Symmetry”. Found out on Youtube tons of people came looking for it because of the same Samsung demo. And because I like supporting musicians I really like I didn’t go looking for a free download, I searched for “louise dowd my symmetry buy mp3”. Bunch of Youtube hits and Amazon among them. Ok. Click buy on American Amazon and it was $0.99. Want to confirm it and Amazon starts whining about my credit card not being a valid payment system. Same credit card I use to buy from Amazon all the time. I thought, ok, must be some dumb regional thing. Then I go to Amazon Germany which usually works and the song was 1.29€. And I thought, fine, it’s more expensive but I’m willing to pay because I really like it. Same fucking thing. Not valid payment method. And I want an MP3 so I can freely listen to it wherever the fuck I want, be it phone, PC or my car. No bullshit subscriptions like iTunes or whatever. But nope, can’t legally obtain it. Music industry can go fuck itself. No wonder I roll my eyes real hard every time I hear music execs whine how piracy is killing their business. Bitch, I wanted to BUY music and you refused to take my money. So, who’s the idiot here? Now I’m most likely just rip it from Youtube or something coz I can’t seem to find it with any other source. Slow clap music industry, slow fucking clap.
EDIT:
Finally managed to find a site that actually allowed me to spend money. Insane how much effort was required. If anyone wants to check it out…
