You might not know this program, but I can tell you that it is the largest antivirus vendor in China. And we all know China is a massive market. Qihoo has also been tested by AV-Test and AV-Comparatives and has achieved very good results. Qihoo is branded as 360 Internet Security in the non-Chinese markets, but they are the same thing with few minor differences.
Reasons why? One of them is the fact that it’s using 3 scan engines. They differ slightly from the Chinese version which is also using AVIRA, but the main engine is the same in both. BitDefender, which is known to provide excellent protection. And BitDefender is being accompanied by two other in-house scan engines, 360 Cloud and QVM II which is a heuristics engine. Interface is easy to navigate and very nice to look at. And best of all, it’s free. All in all a fantastic option for those who just want something different.
